Our First Family Staycation at Azalea Residences

Last March 31, 2012 my family was invited to stay at a Hotel in Baguio City,
the Azalea Residences. Of course being our first "sponsored" stay at the hotel i wouldn't want to pass the chance. Me and my Family lives in Baguio City, yes you got that right we are going to have our first vacation in our own home city, a vacation dubbed as "staycation".

At around 6:30 pm our taxi pulled up to the drive way of the hotel and we were amazed by the fact that the hotels' facade is truly magnificently constructed but also by the fact that we never expected that a structure like this could exist in one of Baguio City's blissful area. You see, the Azalea residences is unlike other hotels in baguio since it is away from the central business district. It is about 20 minutes to 30 minutes walk to the central business district and a good five to ten minutes ride to SM Baguio.

Our Experience in Azalea Residences

Upon arriving at the Hotel the staff were very warm in welcoming us, we were also greeted by the General Manager, Ms. Elisa Escobar. After signing the necessary documents we were guided to our rooms and one thing that struck our attention is the fact that the room is so spacious we could even play hide and seek.

The room is equipped with a kitchen and a minibar. Parents need not worry about having the kitchen stove in place as it is child-proof, you know the stove that does not heat up but cooks, oh yeah its an induction stove.
The cupboards are also child proof, thus, no worries for parents out there planning to stay at this hotel.

There room also have an LCD T.V. a DVD player and an iPod docking station. You also do not have to worry about having to leave your valuables in the front desk because of the fact that the room has its own safe where you can put your valuables just in case you leave the hotel.

The Food

At 7:30 PM we were treated to dinner and the the food was great, i especially like the molo soup and the sauteed vegetables. During breakfast the hotel serves a wide array of buffet style food and everything is to die for, from the sumptuous filipino style food of tocino, longanisa, fried rice and dried fish to the more elegant american food of toasted bread, butter and jams, cereals and milk and a choice of different fruits.
You can also choose the juice you want, from mango, orange and strawberry flavored juices or you can also choose between their brewed coffee or a pot of tea.

Concluding our Azalea Residence Stay

Our stay at the Azalea Residences was very relaxing and it was a good treat for my entire family. We did not bring any toys for my daughter to play with but she did not complain, she enjoyed every inch of the hotel experience, my wife and i did not even want to go out of the hotel we just wanted to stay there the whole day and relax. Indeed, if you want your family to relax stay during your vacation in Baguio City the Azalea residence is the hotel of choice. Price? It doesn't matter, why? because a relaxing stay is priceless it does not have any price tag.
